Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in the hemp plant. To be more specific, it is one of over 113 cannabinoids found in the cannabis genus. Cannabinoids are distinct from the other chemicals compounds because of their ability to produce effects in the brain.
How does CBD work?
As a cannabinoid, CBD is able to interact with our own body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to produce meaningful effects. Essentially, the CBD compound communicates with cannabinoid receptors in the brain and signals changes related to a number of different natural processes. This includes sleep, mood, appetite and more.
What are the effects of CBD?
CBD has been shown to offer a number of benefits, as well as some more immediate effects. After consumption, people typically report a lift in mood and feelings of relaxation. How fast these effects take place depends on a number of different factors, including the potency of CBD being used and how exactly it is being used.
What are the benefits of CBD?
Studies and person accounts suggest a wide variety of possible benefits that CBD can offer. Most commonly, studies suggest CBD can help manage pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, seizures and side effects of other ailments. However, there are many more potential benefits being researched currently and we expect to see even more positive results in the near future.
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
THC is also a cannabinoid, but its’ interaction with cannabinoid receptors in the brain produces a very different effect. THC is psychoactive, meaning it can alter your mental state and produce feelings of euphoria or disorientation (commonly referred to as a “high”). CBD, is not psychoactive, meaning it cannot produce these effects.
What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Both hemp and marijuana are plants within the cannabis genus. However, hemp is naturally high in CBD and low in THC, while marijuana is the opposite (naturally high in THC and low in CBD).
Can CBD get me high?
Because CBD is not psychoactive, it cannot get you high.
Is CBD legal?
The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill essentially legalized the cultivation of hemp, as well as the manufacturing and selling of CBD products. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines hemp and CBD as containing less than 0.3% THC. Therefore, for CBD products to meet the requirements of the USDA, it must not exceed 0.3% THC. However, in some states the cultivation and sale of marijuana is also legal, effectively making CBD with a higher than 0.3% THC content also legal. You can check out your state’s laws online, or just buy from Nature Blend and skip the extra work! All of our products are below 0.3% and perfectly legal.
