Is it worth it to buy CBD oil?

If you’re new to cannabidiol (CBD) oil, it may feel like it’s just another passing fad. Everyone is super into now, because a Kardashian got everyone all excited, but in a year or so it’ll be overlooked because of some new health trend. As a result, you’re probably thinking that CBD oil isn’t even worth trying, because the fad is all going to be over with sometime soon. But we would disagree. That is because CBD oil is a pretty incredible product. CBD itself offers many potential benefits. When it is made into an oil, those potential benefits are easy to access because the oils are easy and convenient to use. So, we really think that CBD oil is worth buying. But what is the proof to all of this, the evidence to back up our wholehearted endorsement? Let’s dive in and find out.

What is CBD oil?

Let’s start with talking about what CBD oil even is. Afterall, how can you understand the fervor behind a product if you don’t even understand what that product is? So, let’s get into it.

There is a pretty amazing group of chemical compounds that are found in cannabis plants. They are called cannabinoids. Their amazingness comes from the fact that they interact with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). That is a group of receptors that are spread throughout the body. They control a number of different functions including appetite and memory. CBD, if you haven’t guessed by now, is one of these cannabinoids. It’s interactions with the ECS are what researchers attribute its potential benefits to. There is another cannabinoid that has a different and more famous effect on the ECS.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a cannabinoid that is incredibly famous for its effects. It creates a psychoactive high. It is the cannabinoid that gives cannabis a bit of an infamous reputation (whether it deserves it or not). It is because of THC that many people are wary of CBD. They think that all cannabinoids have this psychoactive effect. However, that is a rather flawed way of thinking. CBD doesn’t have an effect like that. It is not psychoactive.

Not all cannabis plants have enough THC to cause a high. This fact is rather contrary to what many people think when they hear anything about cannabis. However, it is still a fact. For example, hemp has only 0.3% THC. This level is too low to cause any sort of high. This is why hemp is federally legal in the United States (it should be noted that “federally legal” doesn’t mean legal in every state, it means that it is possible for it to be legal in every state. Hemp is still illegal in some states). Hemp also has high levels of CBD, so it is a perfect cannabis variation for use by CBD manufacturers in making their products. This is all pretty different from marijuana, which has very, very high levels of THC. As a result, it does cause a high and is not federally legal (but it is legal in a few states).

CBD oil is one of the most common and popular CBD products you can find. It is CBD extract that has been mixed with some sort of carrier oil. The carrier oil is usually some kind of inert essential oil. They tend to be things like coconut and avocado oil. Some CBD oils have other essential oils in them to help with flavor or to help give a little boost to the oil. But other than that, they are pretty simple. Just CBD in some oil.

If they are so simple, why are they so popular?

What’s so great about it?

Let’s start by talk about the benefits that CBD in general may offer, then we’ll get into what is going on with CBD oils.

Research on CBD has been focused on many different things, but one of the main ones is how it may affect your state of mind. That is, how it may be able to help with your mental health. For example, this study found that CBD was helpful for a child who had PTSD and struggled with sleeping. The researchers found that CBD helped her sleep better and handle her anxiety more efficiently. This is just one study of the many that have been looking at CBD and anxiety. Most of those studies have been very encouraging.

Another popular area of study connected to CBD is how it may affect inflammation. Inflammation is the culprit behind a number of different conditions and can cause some major complications in people’s lives. So, it is understandable why researchers are looking for solutions pretty much everywhere. Luckily, CBD has been showing promise in how it affects inflammation. For example, this study found that CBD could be helpful in decreasing inflammation caused by oxidative stress.

Now that we’ve covered some of the potential benefits of CBD, you’re probably wondering why so many people prefer CBD oils over other CBD products. One reason why people love them so much is that they are versatile. Most CBD products have one set way that you can take them, which feels a little constricting. CBD oils can be taken in a few different ways. The most direct way is by putting the drops directly in your mouth. This is faster as the skin under your tongue is thin and will allow for the CBD to absorb into the bloodstream much more easily. You can also mix the oils in with food and drink, making your own edibles. This way is a bit slower as you need to wait for the food to digest before the CBD can enter the bloodstream. Some people even use the oils as a kind of topical, rubbing the oil directly onto their skin. In all reality, there isn’t many wrong ways to use a CBD oil.

So, are CBD oils worth buying? We think so. But the only way you can find out for yourself is by giving some a try. So, why not check out Nature Blends fantastic line of all-natural CBD products to give some a shot?
